Job Title: Autism Support Assistant

£12.90 – £13.50 Per hour

Job Duties:

Provide support to students with autism in educational settings
Assist with the implementation of individualised education plans
Support the classroom teacher in creating a positive learning environment
Help students with daily tasks and activities
Facilitate communication and social interactions

Required Qualifications:

Experience working with individuals with autism
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively in a team

Education:

Minimum of GCSEs in English and Maths

Experience:

Prior experience in a similar support role preferred

Knowledge and Skills:

Understanding of autism spectrum disorders
Patience and empathy
Ability to follow instructions and work independently

Preferred Qualifications:

Level 2 or 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools
First Aid certification

Working Conditions:

Work primarily in a school setting
May involve working with students who require additional support
Full-time hours with occasional flexibility required

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
