A large all-through school in Havering is looking for a passionate and driven graduate to join their team and play a pivotal role in raising student attainment and engagement in STEM subjects.

Aspiring STEM Teacher Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support for students, with groups of up to five.
  • Lead interventions to boost student progress and enhance the school’s Progress 8 score.
  • Work with students inside and outside of the classroom to improve their attainment.
  • Collaborate closely with class teachers and external professionals to support a wide range of learners, including those with SEND.
  • Act as a role model and source of motivation for students in STEM subjects.

Essential Requirements:

  • A 1:1 or 2:1 STEM degree from a leading UK university.
  • Previous experience working with children is preferred.
  • A strong, confident approach to behaviour management.
  • Enthusiasm for supporting SEND students and helping them overcome barriers to learning.
  • A proactive and empathetic attitude with a passion for STEM education.
