Long-Term SEN Teaching Assistant (TA) – Primary School in Bexley Position: SEN Teaching Assistant (TA) Location: Primary School, Bexley Start Date: January 2025Contract: Long-Term, Full-Time Salary: GBP80 – GBP100 Per Day ( Dependent on Experience) About The Role: We are seeking a dedicated, compassionate, and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant (TA) to join our vibrant primary school in Bexley. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of children with special educational needs (SEN). The role will begin in January 2025 and is intended to be long-term, offering the opportunity for you to work closely with our experienced SEN team, helping to provide tailored support to students in the classroom. Key Responsibilities: · Provide 1:1 and small group support for students with a variety of SEN needs, including autism, ADHD, and learning difficulties. · Assist with the development and delivery of individual education plans (IEPs). · Support students in both classroom and outdoor learning environments, ensuring their engagement and progress. · Help with the implementation of SEN strategies and interventions, supporting students’ academic and social development. · Work collaboratively with teachers, the SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator), and other professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for students. · Assist with the preparation and maintenance of classroom resources and learning materials. · Promote a positive, inclusive, and nurturing environment for all students. The Ideal Candidate: · Previous experience working with children with special educational needs, preferably in a primary school setting. · A patient, empathetic, and positive approach to supporting children with a variety of learning needs. · Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively within a team. · A proactive attitude with a passion for supporting childrens personal and educational development. · A relevant qualification (e.g., CACHE Level 2/3, Teaching Assistant qualification) is desirable but not essential. · A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
