We are looking for two community based Floating Support Worker for the Swansea area.
What will you do?
Complete assessment of support needs for young people experiencing homelessness.
Carry out risk assessments.
Get young people involved in agreeing and recording support needs.
Ensure meaningful use of time for all parties.
Co-ordinate support as the Key-Worker and youth support worker.
Liaise with other support providers and partner organisations.
Help young people get involved in volunteering, training, education and other activities.
Provide tenancy support and advice.
Travel the area to meet with young people living independently.
What will you get?
35 hour work week for full time.
Permanent contract as a Youth Support Worker.
Hours are on a rota of 9am to 4.30pm and 1.30pm to 8pm.
Salary of £23,914 per year – equivalent to £13.14 per hour.

What do we need?
Someone with experience of working with young people with support needs.
Knowledge of tenancy support and housing (rent, tenancy sign ups, Housing Grant etc.)
Experience of supporting with those who have experienced homelessness.
Access to your own vehicle for travelling the area.
A willingness to assist with the on-call rota.
Good understanding of trauma informed practice and supporting those who have been through trauma.
Someone with a caring, compassionate nature.
Resilience in the face of a challenge.
Someone who knows the Swansea area would be a big plus!
