Job Description

We are seeking to recruit exceptional deputy manager to work with the service manager to lead this service.

Responsibilities:

Working in a multi-agency setting, the service will support those experiencing domestic violence by advocating powerfully on their behalf and coordinating a range of statutory services to keep them safe and help them navigate the civil and criminal justice systems. The key purpose of this role will be to support front line IDVAs in achieving this.

Essential skills or experience:

You will be part of a management team, responsible for the delivery and development of high quality independent advocacy services to victims escaping domestic and sexual violence. You will manage and motivate a team of front line independent domestic violence advocates overseeing their demanding caseloads to deliver positive outcomes for our clients. You will manage relationships and influence professionals across a range of statutory services and the criminal justice system to ensure client's safety is prioritised.

Desirable skills or experience:

You will have significant experience of providing practical and emotional support to survivors of domestic violence and of managing such a service. You will be able to develop, sustain, and evaluate joint work between agencies, establish good working relationships and negotiate effectively. Experience of managing staff is essential.

You will be a strong and effective communicator.Most importantly you will understand and know how to support survivors to navigate the civil and criminal justice systems in relation to domestic and sexual violence.An ability to work independently and prioritise a busy workload is essential.

Salary range: £31,522 - £33,492 per annum
