This Courier Assistant role is a 6 month fixed term contract, part-time 20 hours a week. This will usually be Monday to Friday 09.00-13.00 but we can be flexible on working hours if required.

Purpose of the Role:

Reporting to the Banking Team Leader within the Pub Finance Team, the Courier Assistant is responsible for minimising the risk in our pubs and bars by ensuring banking’s are collected on time and that coin/notes are delivered to enable our businesses to trade effectively.

Daily communication with the courier providers.

Liaising with the Banking team on a daily basis to support cash investigations is essential and ensuring coin is declared via the back of house to monitor cash in and out of the business effectively escalating risk to the appropriate teams.

Using in house platforms to gather information for reporting purposes.

Skills, Experience and Qualifications:

Good all-round education

Good working knowledge of all Microsoft packages

Excellent communication

Numerate with an inquisitive mind ensuring queries are taken to resolution

Microsoft Office Capability (Excel Intermediate)

Capable of working using own initiative with a positive approach to drive and deliver excellent customer service

Pro-active, organised and adaptable with good time management skills with the ability to prioritise

Key Responsibilities:

Day to day contact with all couriers

Daily communication with GM’s to ensure SLA’s are met by courier provider.

Daily communication with courier service providers to ensure our pubs receive the cash

collections and coin deliveries as agreed.

Regular liaising with the Banking team to ensure coin is reconciled and any issues escalated in a timely manner.

Manage Share point page for cash collection and deliveries.

Communication with sites to identify late or missing banking’s

Support in the management of the open items report, identifying risks and escalating as required

Responsible for telephone & email site queries to resolution

Assisting with the banking arrangement of new pub openings and closures

Deliver training to sites on courier processes.

Responsible for cash set up arrangements for opening venues

Invoice & credit notice reviewing

Key date planning and support with Operations
