Finance Administrator – Join a Dynamic Team!

Location: Banbury (plus hybrid – 1 day work from home (after probation))
Salary: Up to £28,000 per annum (DOE)
Hours: Full-time (Mon-Fri, 9 AM – 5 PM, 1-hour lunch) – 35 hour week
Start Date: ASAP

About the Role

Our client is looking for a detail-oriented Finance Administrator to play a key role in contractor payroll and supplier invoicing. If you have strong numeracy skills, ideally with experience with Xero, and a passion for keeping financial records accurate, this could be the perfect opportunity for you!

✨ Your Key Responsibilities:

✅ Raise and submit client invoices in line with agreed terms.
✅ Track and follow up on Purchase Orders .
✅ Reconcile invoices and bills within the accounting system.
✅ Process travel invoices ✈️.
✅ Handle payment queries and escalate if needed.
✅ Manage inboxes for invoices, timesheets & expenses .
✅ Ensure financial transactions are accurately recorded.
✅ Request and verify umbrella and limited company invoices.
✅ Conduct cross-checks on payroll and contractor reports.
✅ Verify limited company details on Companies House ️.
✅ Prepare BACS templates for approval .
✅ Improve client invoicing processes for efficiency.
✅ Send remittance advice slips.
✅ Suggest cost-saving & process improvements .
✅ Manage petty cash.
✅ Adhere to financial policies & procedures.
✅ Support the Finance Team Leader with ad hoc tasks.

What We’re Looking For:

Experience with Xero (or similar accounting software) .
Strong attention to detail and accuracy .
Proficiency in Office 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook) .
Excellent numeracy & literacy skills ✏️.
Clear verbal & written communication.
Strong time management & organisational skills ⏳.
Ability to prioritise tasks & work under pressure.
A collaborative team player .
