Job Vacancy: Teaching Assistant – KS2 (Durham)

Are you passionate about supporting young learners and helping them achieve their potential? We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our vibrant primary school in Durham. This role is focused on working with Key Stage 2 (KS2) students, where you’ll make a meaningful impact on their educational journey.

Key Responsibilities:

Support teachers in delivering engaging lessons and activities
Work with small groups or individual students, providing tailored assistance
Help students with their learning, particularly in areas like literacy, numeracy, and social skills
Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment
Assist with classroom management and maintain a safe learning space
What We’re Looking For:

Experience working with children, ideally in a primary school setting
A genuine passion for education and child development
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work as part of a team and independently
Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (preferred but not essential)
A positive, patient, and adaptable approach

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
