Location: Primary School, Bexley
Start Date: January 2025
Contract: Long-Term, Full-Time
Salary: GBP80 – GBP100 Per Day ( Dependent on Experience)
About The Role:
We are seeking a dedicated, compassionate, and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant (TA) to join our vibrant primary school in Bexley. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of children with special educational needs (SEN). The role will begin in January 2025 and is intended to be long-term, offering the opportunity for you to work closely with our experienced SEN team, helping to provide tailored support to students in the classroom.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide 1:1 and small group support for students with a variety of SEN needs, including autism, ADHD, and learning difficulties.
Assist with the development and delivery of individual education plans (IEPs).
Support students in both classroom and outdoor learning environments, ensuring their engagement and progress.
Help with the implementation of SEN strategies and interventions, supporting students’ academic and social development.
Work collaboratively with teachers, the SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator), and other professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for students.
Assist with the preparation and maintenance of classroom resources and learning materials.
Promote a positive, inclusive, and nurturing environment for all students.
The Ideal Candidate:
Previous experience working with children with special educational needs, preferably in a primary school setting.
A patient, empathetic, and positive approach to supporting children with a variety of learning needs.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively within a team.
A proactive attitude with a passion for supporting childrens personal and educational development.
A relevant qualification (e.g., CACHE Level 2/3, Teaching Assistant qualification) is desirable but not essential.
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
