Dunbar Education is delighted to partner with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Wolverhampton, seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a child with additional needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Work closely with a child who has specific learning and developmental needs, offering tailored support to enable their progress and inclusion.
Implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and work collaboratively with the SENCO, teachers, and external professionals.
Support the child in both academic and social development, fostering a nurturing and positive environment.
Monitor progress and provide regular feedback to staff and parents.
What We’re Looking For:
Previous experience working with children with special educational needs (SEN) is essential.
A patient, empathetic, and resilient individual who is passionate about supporting children with additional needs.
Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and families.
A relevant qualification (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant or SEN-specific training) is desirable but not essential.
