About the role:
We’re looking for a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support to a Year 5 student with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and ADHD. This rewarding role is perfect for someone with experience working with children with additional needs, who can bring patience, creativity, and a nurturing approach to help the student thrive in their learning journey. The primary focus of this role is to help the student maintain focus and regulate their behaviour, as disruptions to routine can easily affect their progress. Consistency and a strong, trusting relationship are essential for this role, as you will be working closely with the student during their academic and social challenges. This Tuesday-to-Thursday position calls for a professional, dedicated individual passionate about supporting students to reach their full potential.

Application Requirements:
• Experience working with children with ASD and ADHD (preferably in a school setting).
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with children, staff, and parents.
• A proactive, patient, and nurturing approach.
• The ability to adapt to different learning styles and needs.
• A passion for helping children with SEN succeed in their education.

Key Responsibilities:
• Provide tailored support to students with ASD and ADHD in Key Stage 2, Year 5.
• Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering engaging lessons.
• Help manage classroom behaviour and encourage positive social interactions.
• Monitor and report on student progress to ensure the best outcomes.
