Student Support Officer – Hull
An excellent opportunity has arisen to join a successful school in Hull as a Pastoral Support Assistant.
The school are seeking a passionate Pastoral Support Assistant to be part of their journey of rapid growth and improvement. This role is a fast paced, on-the-go role and would suit someone who is happy being on their feet.
Hours: 08:30am – 3:30pm
Student Support Officer Responsibilities & Duties:
* To be on call throughout the day to de-escalate situations and remove disregulated children from their lessons
* Support with transitioning between lessons, lunch and home time
* Patrol the corridors throughout the day
* Assist with any behavioural issues
* Support teaching staff and senior leadership when needed
Student Support Officer Requirements:
* Have proven experience working with pupils in a classroom setting within the last two years
* Have the ability to differentiate work according to each individual child’s needs
* Be a good communicator who can work closely with colleagues
* Have excellent behaviour management and have a patient mindset
* Ability to be physically active and work in fast paced situations.
