Our recruits will get to work on a live product from day one; Breakthrough will create content for www.bigissue.com and contribute to The Big Issue magazine. Created by 16-24s for 16-24s, the content will tackle big themes such as the environment, employment, training, housing, diversity and inclusiveness. We will train this team to produce Breakthrough content across digital and social, including video and audio formats.
These roles will be based partially from home and partially from our London office in Finsbury Park, (Fonthill Road, N4 3HH). Candidates will be equipped with hardware and software to complete their assignments and tasks flexibly. They will be required to come into the office every week, splitting their time equally between home and office working.
TBI is searching for talented, self-motivated 16-24 years olds to form a new team and launch the Breakthrough content channel. Ideal candidates will have demonstrable passion, curiosity and imagination coupled with a desire to succeed in the creative industries. Any experience of online or offline content creation, e.g. Social media videos, photography or compelling writing, is desirable but not essential as full training will be provided.
ADDITIONAL EMPLOYABILITY SUPPORT
Successful candidates will be supported by a dedicated Editorial Programme Manager who will guide the team through their recruitment, onboarding, training and day to day work using coaching and mentoring to improve their confidence, resilience and job prospects. They will provide ‘wrap around’ employability support in addition to help with CVs, interview techniques and network building.
