SEN Teaching Assistant (Special Educational Needs)

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with special educational needs? We are looking for a dedicated and caring SEN Teaching Assistant to join our inclusive school in Newham, supporting students with a range of learning difficulties and disabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one and group support for students with special educational needs, both in and out of the classroom.
  • Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering tailored learning activities.
  • Help students with their physical, emotional, and social development.
  • Support students in managing their behaviour and overcoming barriers to learning.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and external professionals to ensure the best outcomes for students.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience working with children with special needs (preferred but not essential).
  • A patient, compassionate, and flexible approach.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A commitment to helping every child reach their full potential.
