Trainer

Salary: £23,625 per annum + Benefits (Pro-rata)

Covering Chesterfield – Regular travel required across the region so full licence & access to own vehicle is desirable

Part-time Role – Upto 22.5 hrs per week

Fixed Term Contract – Until March 2025 (opportunities to be retained)

If successful you will be responsible for assisting Service Users through the Probation Health Trainer Service, accessing local services & making healthy changes to their lifestyle.

What will you be doing?

  • Work as part of a team to help improve their health and develop healthier lifestyles
  • Helping people to develop their knowledge and skills about health and well-being by enabling access to local services
  • Communicate with individuals in a variety of settings about health & wellbeing , promoting key messages around stopping smoking, healthy eating, physical exercise and alcohol & substance misuse etc
  • Signpost individuals to other agencies

To be successful you will require;

  • Experience of working with vulnerable/challenging people, for example people who have complex needs etc
  • The ability to deliver short and tailored interventions to address barriers within a given timeframe
