We are looking for an experienced Network Engineer to join our team and support our growing business needs. The role involves handling the routing design, validation, and circuit writing of SDH/PDH telecommunication services on our major clients’ Optical Transmission Network.

As part of a dynamic team led by a motivating manager, you will play a key role in providing 2nd and 3rd line network engineering support on National Information services. Your responsibilities will include ensuring timely communications to Network Management Centres (NMCs) and customer staff while adhering to Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and contract governance. Safety requirements at all sites will also be a top priority.

Covering the full network lifecycle, we deliver Managed Services and Projects for both fixed and mobile infrastructure networks across the operator and utility markets.

Key Responsibilities

You will be a part ofa 2nd/3rdLine Technical Support & Delivery team focused on the complex technical delivery activities, supporting specific areas of Customer Services.

  • Complex delivery in line with customer SLAs
  • Complex Incident Management (technology and solution based).
  • Root Cause analysis for Major Incidents and escalated faults.
  • Work with the other 2nd/3rdLine Support teams to establish the processes, systems and skills, required to implement solutions, that are dependent on multiple technologies.
  • Assist with the definition and embedding of a consistent set of processes interfacing to :
  • Customer Services teams; Service Delivery Management; Delivery Unit Operational teams
  • This includes Problem Management for RCA,

Cooperate and contribute toa set of measures covering :

  • SLA,RiSLA, MTTR and Delivery On-Time (DOT) performance, MTBF and fault volumes
  • Service reliability and performance

Provide an on-call presence, on a rota basis. Manage Change Control through Magdalene/customer Change governance including the production of required Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS)Active participation in the customers governance cyclesAccurate resource planning and forecasting

Key Competencies / Experience

Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to relate to, and work closely with colleagues, clients, and suppliers at all levels of the technical hierarchy

  • Extensive experience in an operationalenvironment
  • Preferably in a complex technology delivery role.

Detailed technical knowledge of ;

  • Network transmission (Ericsson OMS; ABB Fox)
  • Telephony equipment (CUCM; CUCME; IP Trade)
