Residential Support Worker (Children’s Residential Homes)Location: OldhamSalary: £12.50 – £13.50 per hourHours: Full-time, Shift Work (Night -in)

Holden Knight Healthcare is recruiting on behalf of a leading Children’s Residential Homes for experienced Residential Support Workers with OFSTED experience. Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality care and support for children and young people in a residential setting.
  • Assist in creating a safe, nurturing, and structured environment that promotes the well-being of the residents.
  • Help children develop life skills, manage emotions, and achieve positive outcomes in their personal and educational goals.
  • Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including social workers, teachers, and healthcare professionals.
  • Ensure compliance with OFSTED regulations and participate in inspections, ensuring high standards of care are maintained.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working in a children’s residential home.
  • Familiarity with OFSTED requirements and inspections.
  • A genuine passion for supporting vulnerable children and young people.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to manage challenging behaviour in a positive way.
  • Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and nights.
  • NVQ Level 3 in Children & Young People or equivalent (preferred).
