Job Title: Production Supervisor

Location: Northampton, NN4
Shift Schedule: Monday – Friday, 6:00 AM 2:30 PM (longer hours required during busy periods)
Starting Pay: £13.50 per hour (increasing to £14.00 – £14.50 per hour after passing the 6-month probation period)

Position Overview:
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Production Supervisor to oversee daily operations within our manufacturing facility in Northampton, NN4. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in production and manufacturing, excellent team management skills, and experience with quality checks and Excel reporting. This role requires hands-on leadership and the ability to ensure efficiency and quality in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise Production Operations: Lead, motivate, and manage a production team to meet daily production targets and maintain a smooth workflow.
  • Quality Assurance: Conduct regular quality checks on products to ensure they meet company standards, and address any production issues promptly.
  • Reporting: Use Excel to generate daily and weekly production reports, track key performance metrics, and provide updates to senior management.
  • Team Management: Train, develop, and support production staff to ensure a high level of performance and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement opportunities for improving production processes, efficiency, and product quality.
  • Safety Compliance: Ensure all staff follow health and safety regulations, and that the production area is safe and compliant with company policies.
  • Problem Solving: Respond to production challenges or equipment issues swiftly to minimize downtime.
  • Schedule Flexibility: Be prepared to work longer hours during peak production periods to meet deadlines.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a supervisory role within a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Strong knowledge of production processes, quality control, and safety standards.
  • Proficiency in Excel for reporting and data tracking.
  • Excellent team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop team members.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
  • Flexible approach to working hours, particularly during busy periods.

  • Experience in process improvement or lean manufacturing techniques.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
