Description
We are currently working with a car dealership in the heart of Manchester who are looking to bring a bookkeeper into the business. You will be working with the car dealership and also a secondary business owned by the same group.
Key Responsibilities:
- Record financial transactions using accounting software such as Sage, QuickBooks, Xero, or similar.
- Prepare and process invoices, receipts, and payments.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions.
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Generate financial reports, including balance sheets and income statements.
- Assist with budgeting, financial forecasting, and reporting.
- Maintain organised and accurate financial records.
- Ensure compliance with accounting principles and regulations.
- Oversee payroll across the Group.
- Manage VAT preparation and expense reporting.
- Handle petty cash and stock control.
- Oversee financial reporting.
Key Skills:
- Proficiency in accounting software (Sage, QuickBooks, Xero).
- Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping.
- Fast learner with the ability to quickly adapt to new systems and processes.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping.
- Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.
- Analytical skills to identify discrepancies and errors.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
