Principal Resourcing are working with a secondary school and sixth form in North Yorkshire, who are looking to an appoint a Higher Level Teaching Assistant. The school are looking for a HLTA to work on a full-time basis from January to the end of the academic year.

Role responsibilities:

* Plan, prepare and deliver learning to individuals or small groups, modifying and adapting activities to advance pupils’ learning as necessary within agreed systems of supervision.

* Cover short term teacher absence and communicate pupil work as planned by the classroom teacher and manage pupil behaviour.

* Develop an understanding of the individual learning needs of the students’

* Monitor, record and evaluate pupil responses to learning activities through a range of assessment and monitoring strategies against pre-determined learning objectives.

Role pre-requisites:

* A full and relevant Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.

* Confidence, inclusivity, and passion for supporting pupil progression.

* Strong subject knowledge and familiarity with the UK Curriculum.

* An enhanced DBS disclosure or be willing to obtain one through us.

* Right to Work in the UK, unfortunately we are unable to offer Visa Sponsorship.
