SEMH Teaching Assistant – (Salford)

Aspire People are seeking a dedicated SEMH Teaching Assistant to join an Alternative Provision in Salford, supporting teenagers with challenging behaviour.

This is a fantastic opportunity for psychology graduates or those with a passion for working with vulnerable young people to gain hands-on experience in a specialist setting.

The role would be to start after October half term until Easter, however, for the right candidate this could become a permanent role. The role is full time Monday-Friday.

Key Responsibilities:
Provide tailored support to students with SEMH needs, helping them to engage in education and manage their behaviour.
Work closely with teachers and other staff to implement behaviour management strategies.
Build positive relationships with students to support their emotional and social development.
Help create a safe, supportive, and structured learning environment.

About You:
Resilient, patient, and empathetic, with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
A genuine interest in working with teenagers facing behavioural challenges.
Ideal for psychology graduates or individuals with experience in similar roles.
