Application Requirements:

* Experience working with children, preferably with Autism or in an SEN setting

* Strong understanding of Autism and related behavioural needs

* Ability to work one-on-one and in small groups to support learning

* Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children with SENExcellent communication and teamwork skills

* Ability to adapt and respond to individual needs in a classroom setting

* Relevant qualifications (e.g., CACHE Level 3, Teaching Assistant Certificate) are desirable but not essential

* Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)

Key Responsibilities:

* Provide one-on-one and group support to children with Autism in a specialised unit

* Assist with implementing individual education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s needs

* Support classroom teachers in delivering engaging and accessible lessons

* Help manage classroom behaviour, using positive reinforcement strategies

* Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment for all students

* Encourage social, emotional, and academic development through structured activities

* Monitor and report on student progress to teachers and SEN coordinators

* Collaborate with staff, therapists, and parents to ensure consistent support
