SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Leading Secondary School, Woolwich
Schedule: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM

Daily Duties:
– Provide tailored support to students with ASD, ADHD, and learning difficulties in a secondary school setting.
– Assist teachers in implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and adapting lesson materials to meet diverse learning needs.
– Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student engagement and participation.
– Support students during lessons, ensuring they understand the material and stay focused on tasks.
– Help manage and de-escalate challenging behaviors in a constructive manner, promoting emotional well-being.
– Collaborate with teachers and other staff to monitor student progress and adapt strategies as needed.
– Engage with parents and caregivers to provide updates on student development and support.
– Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills in SEN support.
– Contribute to the overall safety and well-being of students within the secondary school environment.
