Part-Time Qualified Teaching Assistant (SEN) – Chesterfield

We are seeking a dedicated and qualified Teaching Assistant to join our Special Educational Needs (SEN) unit at a welcoming primary school in Chesterfield. This is a full-time, part-time role working Monday to Friday from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm.

Key Responsibilities:

Support a small group of primary-aged children (KS1 & KS2) with additional needs such as Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and behavioural difficulties.
Work within the school’s inclusion unit to foster a positive, supportive learning environment.
Collaborate with teachers and SEN staff to deliver tailored support, promoting engagement and progress.Essential Criteria:

Qualified at Level 2 or above in a relevant field.
Experience working with children who have additional needs.
A calm, patient, and compassionate approach, with the ability to manage challenging behaviours positively.About Us: We are a moderately sized primary school with a well-established inclusion unit.
