Position

An opportunity has arisen for a Patient Meal Supervisor based at Ayrshire Central Hospital

What you will do:

Your duties will include the man management of staff, responsibility for communication and direction of all staff within your area. Organizing staff duty rotas to include leave, in house training. Processing Patient menu cards and the specific service of patient meals. Maintaining a high standard of hygiene, recording and monitoring data for HACCP and Environmental Health. Customer care, general catering duties, a degree of flexibility is essential, as you may be required to work additional hours during periods of leave. A Basic Food Hygiene Certificate, supervisory/ experience is essential

Knowledge, training and/or experience required to do the job:

We have an excellent opportunity for an organised person with kitchen management skills. Experience in large scale catering, preferably within NHS would be advantageous but not essential as full training will be given. You should have the ability to work on your own initiative and as part of a team. Good communication skills are essential.

Hours:

19 hours per week 13:45-19:45 weekdays and 13:45-19:45 weekends

Shift pattern 7 days on/7days off

However applicants who wish to be considered must be available to cover all shifts within the department between the hours of 7.00am 7.45pm which may include Sat/Sun to cover staff leave.
