Description
Running a busy and fun school’s club which operates Monday to Friday – 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. during term time and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. in school holidays (closed between Christmas and New Year).
The working hours are 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. term time and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. in school holidays.
Responsibilities:
* Supervising and support of staff.
* Providing children with exciting and stimulating activities, ensuring their needs are met in all areas of their development.
* Creating a warm, friendly and safe environment in line with H&S requirements and includes administering first aid.
* Supervision of children at all times.
* Serving and handling food.
* Assisting children with personal care.
* Maintaining records, such as registers and attendance and detailing any allergies/requirements and incidents.
* Liaising with parents, carers, colleagues and any professional bodies.
* Promoting good behaviour and assisting children in managing their emotions.
* Undertaking training and attending staff meetings.
Qualifications/Experience/Qualities:
* Experience of childcare is essential, together with previous experience of leadership.
* A Playwork qualification is an advantage, but not essential.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Patience, empathy and relatability are essential.
* Genuine desire and enjoyment of working with children.
* SEND experience
