Are you a detail-oriented Science Technician with a passion for supporting young learners in their scientific journey? We are recruiting on behalf of a forward-thinking secondary school looking for a dedicated Science Technician to join their vibrant Science Department.

As a Science Technician, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring practical science lessons run smoothly and safely. You’ll work closely with teachers to prepare equipment, set up experiments, and provide essential technical support, enabling students to engage with hands-on science in a safe, organised environment. This school offers a supportive, inspiring environment that prioritises hands-on learning and student engagement. You’ll be joining a collaborative team dedicated to fostering curiosity, critical thinking, and a love for science in every student. Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and organize laboratory equipment, materials, and chemicals for practical lessons
Support teachers in delivering engaging, hands-on science activities
Maintain laboratory cleanliness, manage inventory, and ensure equipment is in good condition
Follow and enforce health and safety standards to create a safe learning environment
Assist in developing new resources and practical experiments to enhance the curriculum
Provide technical support for science projects, assessments, and extracurricular activities
What We’re Looking For:

Relevant qualifications in science (or equivalent lab experience in an educational or research setting)
Knowledge of health and safety practices in a laboratory environment
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
A proactive, positive approach to supporting science learning
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, with excellent communication skills
