Wraparound Assistant
Contract: Part-Time, Term-Time Only
Hours: 20 hours per week, Monday to Friday (7:15-9:00 am and 3:00-6:00 pm)
Salary: £24,954 to £26,625 per annum (pro-rata)
About the Role:
A dedicated and enthusiastic Wraparound Assistant is sought to join the team. This role involves supporting the daily operations of the Wraparound Care, ensuring a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment for children before and after school. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and supervising a range of activities, providing high-quality care, and fostering positive relationships with children and parents.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the delivery of the breakfast and after-school club, ensuring all children are engaged in fun and educational activities.
Supervise and support children during breakfast and after-school sessions, promoting positive behaviour and ensuring their safety at all times.
Assist with the preparation and serving of meals and snacks, adhering to food safety and hygiene standards.
Develop and maintain positive relationships with children, parents, and staff, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
Help set up and tidy away equipment and resources, maintaining a clean and organised environment.
Ensure all activities are inclusive and accessible, meeting the diverse needs of all children.
Follow school policies and procedures, including safeguarding and health and safety guidelines.
Requirements:
Previous experience working with children in a similar setting is desirable.
A relevant qualification in childcare or playwork is an advantage.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
A caring, patient, and enthusiastic attitude.
Understanding of safeguarding procedures and the ability to ensure the safety of all children.
