Teaching Assistant (TA / LSA) – Secondary School, Kent Medway

Location: Kent Medway

Position: Full-Time

We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant (TA) to join our team at a secondary school in the Kent Medway area. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a passion for supporting students and helping them succeed academically and socially.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide classroom support to students, assisting with the delivery of lessons across various subjects
Offer 1:1 support for students with additional needs (SEN) and help them access the curriculum
Support students with their academic development, including assisting with homework, classwork, and exam preparation
Foster a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
Help manage classroom behaviour, ensuring all students are supported and encouraged to participate
Work closely with teachers and other staff to monitor and support student progress

Essential Skills and Experience:

Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant (TA) or Learning Support Assistant (LSA) in a secondary school setting
Strong understanding of secondary school curriculum and classroom dynamics
A good sense of humour and the ability to build rapport with students
Intelligent, engaging, and able to adapt support to meet the individual needs of students
Patience, empathy, and a positive, proactive approach to supporting students
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team
A passion for education and helping students achieve their full potential
