Job Title: Classroom Care Assistant

Location: Billingshurst

Salary: £85.02 – £95.02

Working Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday 830am-330pm

Various day shifts also available (Please enquire)

Start: Immediate

Masterclass are working closely with a very welcoming and inclusive educational environment committed to supporting students with additional needs. This is an all through school meaning they cater for primary, secondary and 6th form students. We’re looking for a compassionate, proactive, and enthusiastic Classroom Care Assistant’s to join the team, helping students achieve their fullest potential in a supportive classroom setting.

Job Purpose: As a Classroom Care Assistant, you’ll play an essential role in supporting students who need additional care due to disabilities or learning difficulties. Working closely with teachers and support staff, you’ll help create a positive, nurturing learning environment, ensuring students’ physical, emotional, and educational needs are met.

Key Responsibilities:

* Provide one-on-one or group support to students with diverse needs, including physical and/or learning disabilities.

* Assist students with daily personal care needs, including feeding, toileting, and mobility, ensuring dignity and respect.

* Support classroom learning by reinforcing lesson materials and assisting students with assignments and activities.

* Create a safe, inclusive, and comfortable learning environment.

* Monitor and encourage positive behaviour, contributing to a calm and engaging classroom atmosphere.

* Collaborate closely with teachers, special education staff, and families to communicate student progress and any concerns.

* Assist with classroom setup, organisation, and routine management to facilitate smooth and effective learning.

* Confident in having the ability to follow care plans and communicate effectively with colleagues and families.

* Confident in understanding health & safety, and safeguarding procedures.

Do you….

* Hold prior experience in a care assistant or support role (classroom experience preferred but not essential).

* Hold Relevant qualifications in health and social care or similar field are advantageous but not essential.

* Have flexibility and adaptability to work in a dynamic classroom environment.
