Hours of Work: 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM, Term Time

Pay: £85-£100 per day

About the role:

We’re looking for a dedicated and resilient SEN Teaching Assistant with a specialism in managing challenging behaviours to join our team from January 2025. In this role, you’ll be supporting Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 pupils with additional behavioural needs. You will work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and therapists to create a consistent, structured environment, using tailored strategies to help each child overcome barriers and reach their potential.

Application Requirements:

• Proven experience in supporting children with challenging behaviours in an educational setting.
• Strong understanding of SEN strategies, particularly around behaviour management and de-escalation techniques.
• A passion for working with children and creating inclusive, positive learning environments.
• Great communication skills to engage with students, colleagues, and families effectively.
• Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent) is desirable, though experience with SEN support is paramount.

Key Responsibilities:

• Providing tailored 1:1 support to pupils with SEN, focusing on managing behaviours and enhancing engagement.
• Implementing behaviour management techniques to create a calm and structured learning environment.
• Collaborating with teachers and the SENCO to design and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
• Observing and reporting on progress and challenges to support targeted interventions.
• Building positive relationships with students to encourage confidence and resilience.
