About the Role:
Are you an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant looking to make a difference in a supportive secondary school environment? LTF Recruitment is looking for a committed Teaching Assistant to join a large, well-regarded secondary school located in the heart of Harrow, close to Harrow-on-the-Hill Station. This school is known for its inclusive culture, modern facilities, and commitment to student achievement and well-being, offering a vibrant setting for both staff and students.
In this role, you will work with students across Key Stages 3 and 4, providing both academic and emotional support to help them succeed. You’ll assist teachers in the classroom, offer 1:1 and small group support, and play a key role in creating a positive learning atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide support within the classroom, helping students remain engaged and on task
Deliver 1:1 and small group assistance for students who need additional academic help
Work with students with SEN to ensure they have full access to the curriculum
Assist teachers with lesson preparation and classroom management
Help maintain a positive, inclusive, and productive learning environment
Monitor and report on student progress, providing feedback to teachers and the SENCo as requiredAbout the School:

Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar support role within a school setting
Strong interpersonal skills with a genuine passion for working with young people
Patience, empathy, and adaptability to meet the diverse needs of students
Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, students, and parentsDesirable Criteria:
Experience supporting students with SEN
Knowledge of behaviour management techniques and safeguarding practicesAdditional Information:
Full-time role, Monday to Friday
Paid £95 – £100 per day, term time only
