Service Coordinator – It Takes a Village Project Advert
Are you ready to be part of a groundbreaking initiative that tackles some of the most pressing health and social inequalities in Southwark? If you’re passionate about creating real, lasting change and supporting vulnerable communities, this is your chance to make a difference.
About the Service
The "It Takes a Village" (ITAV) project in Southwark addresses pressing health and social inequalities, specifically focusing on supporting individuals facing Multiple Disadvantage (MD). Recognising that traditional services often address isolated issues rather than viewing the broader picture, the ITAV team works to bridge this gap. Comprising diverse professionals, ITAV actively engages with individuals facing MD, their families, and surrounding support systems to ensure fairer, more effective treatment for those who need it most yet struggle to access it. This collaborative approach reflects Southwark’s commitment to fostering inclusivity, equity, and systemic change.
About the Role
In this 3-year fixed-term as the Service Coordinator for ITAV, you’ll be the backbone of the team, providing crucial administrative and strategic support. Your role will encompass organising and maintaining administrative processes, ensuring smooth communication across teams, and handling budget monitoring and reporting. You'll coordinate key data collection and report on project outcomes, helping the team achieve milestones and manage performance. A flexible and proactive approach is essential, as you’ll support the ITAV Clinical Lead and a team of dedicated professionals working across Children’s and Adults Services, both within Southwark Council and with external partners. This is a three-year opportunity for an individual eager to make a tangible impact within one of the most challenging and rewarding fields in health and social care.
About You
We’re looking for an exceptional individual with:
- Proven administrative experience in a project-oriented environment, including handling complex communications, minute-taking, and data management.
- Organisational savvy and the ability to act on initiative, balancing multiple priorities and deadlines with ease.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, sensitive to the needs of vulnerable groups and adept at navigating complex issues with respect and professionalism.
- Proficiency in ICT and Microsoft Office applications, with experience in budget tracking, data reporting, and outcome monitoring.
- A commitment to inclusivity and a proactive approach to supporting marginalised communities, aligned with Southwark’s values.
If you’re ready to contribute to a pioneering project with the potential to transform lives and drive social equity, we’d love to hear from you!
