1:1 Autism LSA – Harrow – ASAP

We are excited to offer an excellent opportunity for a dedicated 1:1 Autism LSA to join a thriving school in Harrow. This position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with Autism. The school has a ‘Good’ Ofsted rating, and you will be part of an experienced, supportive team, dedicated to providing the best education for all students.

Role:

  • Provide 1:1 support to students with Autism, assisting them with their learning, behaviour, and integration into the school environment
  • Adapt learning approaches to meet the specific needs of each student, ensuring their academic and social success
  • Offer behavioural support, helping students manage challenges and develop skills for independent learning
  • Work closely with teachers and other professionals to ensure tailored, effective support
  • The role is both challenging and highly rewarding, offering the chance to make a real impact on the lives of children with Autism

Requirements:

  • A degree from a top 30 UK University
  • Previous experience working with SEN children, specifically those with Autism, is essential
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with children and adults
  • Patience, compassion, and determination to support students with additional needs
  • A passion for educating and helping students overcome challenges to reach their potential
