We are now seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant with a background in sports to join our dedicated team.
Role Overview:
The Teaching Assistant will work closely with teachers to support students’ learning and development, with a special focus on physical education and sporting activities. This role involves assisting in delivering lessons, supporting children on an individual or group basis, and fostering an enthusiasm for fitness, health, and teamwork within the school.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the planning and delivery of PE and sports sessions under the guidance of the Teacher.
Assist classroom teachers in lessons, providing targeted support for students as needed.
Promote active participation and teamwork through sports and physical activities.
Provide tailored support to students, helping them with academic, social, and emotional needs.
Assist in supervising students during field trips, sporting events, and other extracurricular activities.
Maintain a safe, engaging, and inclusive environment for all students.
Requirements:
Previous experience working with children in an educational or sports environment (desirable).
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
A passion for promoting healthy lifestyles and physical fitness among young people.
The ability to motivate and inspire students to achieve their best.
An understanding of safeguarding and child protection policies (training is provided).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
