SEND TA

A fantastic school in Taunton are currently looking for a SEND TA to work alongside students with learning difficulties and ASD. The role is initially a long-term temporary position with a permanent opportunity available for the right applicant.

The ideal candidate will need to have a positive and caring attitude whilst previous experience working with young adults with challenging behaviours is essential. They will also need to feel confident within a classroom environment and be able to take direction from a class teacher.

You must be able to plan and run fun workshops for the students as well as having excellent communication skills to engage those with communication difficulties in these activities.

To be successful in this role you will need to have:

Worked with students on a 1:1 basis
Experience in assisting the teacher with classroom preparation
Ability to assist with the planning and running of workshops
Experience with Challenging behaviors & Learning Difficulties
