Somerset Education Alliance are a multi-award winning agency in it’s 10th year of establishment and are looking for Primary and Secondary teachers to fill exciting teaching opportunities in schools in and around the Bridgwater area.

The Job Role

Somerset Education Alliance are looking for teacherswith passion and desire to educate and guide the young minds of our future who live in or are willing to travel to the Bridgwater area. You will be able to adapt to different environments, engage students with invigorating ideas and radiate positivity throughout placements.

We cover day to day, short term and long-term supply, and are always on the look out for Primary teachers, secondary teachers, cover supervisors, HLTAs and teaching assistants to join our team.

Part time and full time applicants are encouraged to join!

Our dedicated consultants have a close relationship with our schools and we cover a variety of warm and welcoming schools (independent/mainstream/SEN) from small village schools to larger inner city schools.

Primary Teacher Responsibilities

– Delivering cover lessons with planning included

– Following safeguarding and school policies

– Marking work as needed

– Liaising with school staff

Primary Teacher Essentials

– QTS or ECT status (applications from other teaching backgrounds also welcome)

– A current DBS, or Update Service subscription (the agency can apply for this)

– A 3 year minimum reference history

– Up to date knowledge of the curriculum

– Reliability

– Excellent communication skills
