Hours of Work: 38 hours per week Staff Benefits: Life Insurance, Medicash scheme, Free car parking on site, Canteen, Career progression, #wbstaff Job Title: Logistics Operator Department: All Service One Reports To: Team Leader – Logistics Purpose of Post Responsible for the receiving of goods from suppliers, processing these through the system and storing them in an appropriate location/manner. You will also be required to pull together customer orders for shipping .This will entail recovering required items from the relevant locations , packing these in a suitable manor and processing them on both our system and also the courier partner’s portal. Responsible for undertaking any other duties associated with the post, including stock checking and various other warehouse duties Key Tasks Responsible for the compliance with the company’s health and safety policy and procedures ensuring the warehouse & workshop policies are being adhered to. Responsible for the safe operation of plant equipment Responsible for all aspects of the storage & preparing goods for shipping; o Receiving and inspecting goods into stock o Handling goods with care o Putting goods in correct bin locations within store o Picking and packing goods using appropriate materials o Preparing orders for shipping o Providing high level of service to our customers Ensuring Warehouse procedures and processes are adhered to Accurate kitting and issuing of parts to orders. Transportation of material within the warehouse in a safe manner to ensure on time shipping and that the parts are not damaged. Fork truck use will be required from time to time however full training will be given To participate actively in stocktakes & continuous improvement teams. Must be prepared to work additional hours when requested by management Carryout duties in accordance with the equal opportunity policy.
