Hales Group are looking to recruit a Plant Fitter to join our client based near Beccles.
The ideal candidate will be multi skilled with mechanical and auto electrical experience. You will be required to repair, service and maintain a wide range of plant equipment as well as be responsible for equipment inspection and fault finding.
Plant Fitter main responsibilities will include:
Carrying out routine inspections maintenance and repairs on all makes of plant and equipment including 16t fork trucks, telehandler, scissor lifts, and diesel pressure washers
Ensuring adherence to health & safety regulations and safe working practices
Diagnose and fault find any machine defects and carry out repairs confidently
work on site unaided when required carrying out scheduled machine servicing
May also be occasional site visits to carry out minor repairs
To apply for the position, you must have the following experience:
Qualified or time served engineer within the heavy plant / construction plant sectors
Must have full driving licence
Be able to service, diagnose and repair various plant machinery and equipment
Work under pressure, with the aptitude to think on your feet and resolve any issue that may arise
Performing thorough fault finding and inspections to identify potential issues and recommending preventative maintenance measures
Please note due to the location of this role you will have your own transport to get to and from work.
HOURS: 7:30am until 5pm Monday to Friday
PAY: £14.00 per hour with OT being paid after 39 hours (Negotiable depending on experience)
LOCATION: Beccles
TERM: Temporary to permanent
