TeacherActive are recruiting for a passionate, driven Learning Support Assistant to join a community-focused, inclusive primary school in Cardiff. This school prides itself on supporting every child regardless of background, ability and learning needs. The school boasts a strong foundation to empower vulnerable learners to allow them to thrive within their school environment.
We are looking for a Learning Support Assistant who has experience in working with children who have additional learning needs. The successful Learning Support Assistant will also aid the class teacher in creating a nurturing environment for all children andbe able to support children who are faced with behavioural or academic challenges. Candidates must have experience with Key Stage 1 / KS1 and Key Stage 2 / KS2 classes, as well as being able to assist children on either a one-to-one basis or when in larger groups.
The successful Learning Support Assistant must have:
A Level 3 qualification in a relevant qualification
Experience in working with SEND children
The ability to support both the class teacher and children alike to a high professional standard
