Software Support Analyst
Position: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: £23,000.00-£28,000.00 per year – subject to skills and experience
Market leading software company based in Hertford specialising in providing innovative, online booking solutions to universities internationally are looking for a Software Support Analyst to join the team. We are committed to delivering exceptional service and technology that enhances the efficiency of educational institutions.
The Software Support Analyst will receive full product training on our solution. Initially joining the technical support desk. As you gain skills and knowledge you will progress to being able to deploy the software with customers and providing training to users.
Longer term you will support the software development lifecycle as part of our agile development environment.
Key responsibilities:
• Provide technical support to clients as well as perform installations and upgrades of software
• Analyse client information to identify key details to enable user stories to be created and presented to the Product Owner
• Project manage multiple projects ensuring successful software releases and deployment of new customer systems, within set timeframes
• Collaborate with team members across the business in both commercial and technical roles
• Organise and lead meetings with customer IT teams and end users to understand project scope and requirements
Skills required:
We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Software Support Analyst who has some (or all!) of the following qualities:
• Customer service – Customer orientated with experience working with customers and understanding their needs • Technical training – Experience in training users in software applications
• Support experience – Background in software support or technical helpdesk experience
• ISS and SQL knowledge – Familiarity with setting up websites, IIS, SQL or a strong willingness to learn
• Communication skills – Excellent communication, both written and verbal
This Software Support Analyst role would suit candidates with relevant work experience, or a recent graduate who has gained experience either in a placement or other roles during their studies. The role is ideal for recent graduates with technical knowledge of software development, database management, business or systems analysis covered in their studies.
