This role is based at our nursery in Spalding, Lincolnshire. An exciting opportunity to join a well-established business. Sarah Ravens Kitchen & Garden is an award-winning online gardening business, which offers carefully tried and tested plants, seeds, bulbs and gardening kit, all personally selected by Sarah Raven, the well-known author and broadcaster.

ROLE OVERVIEW

Working in a team to ensure customer orders are accurately fulfilled and packed to a high standard prior to shipment. A chance to enhance your skills and grow your knowledge with full support and training. Reporting to section leader or site supervisor.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Locating the correct goods as per customer orders
  • Using warehouse machinery to move goods to packaging areas
  • Inspecting goods for damage or faults before they are packed
  • Completing paperwork or entering data into software to allow orders to be tracked
  • Ensuring that storage areas are kept fully stocked at all times
  • Following health and safety policies and procedures
  • Work in various production areas
  • Ensure all production targets are met
  • Follow clean as you go policy
  • Always following health and safety policies and procedures while on site
  • Flexibility to work and support all roles and tasks at the nursery
  • Added tasks from time to time will be needed for the development of the business for which instruction and training will be provided.

KEY SKILLS

  • Ability to use a scanner and operate a PC workstation
  • Understanding of work-based instructions
  • Team Player and good communicator
  • The ability to work under pressure with a quick-thinking approach
  • Happy to help attitude
  • Good understanding of spoken and written English language
  • Must have reliable means of transportation
  • Horticultural knowledge an advantage

Hours

  • Full time Summer/ Winter shift
  • Rate £12 per hour, 37.5 hours per week
  • Overtime to support the needs of the site
