Support Asia started delivering care and support services over 10 years ago. We initially entered this field with a view to delivering cultural services to the Asian communities, where there was a clear lack of culturally sensitive services. This is reason we chose the name Support Asia. Due to the high standards and excellent services we provide, we were approached to the serve other communities and not just the Asian communities. We are proud to say that we currently deliver services to people from all ethnic backgrounds Inc. White and Black communities.

Right now, we are looking for an enthusiastic and committed Care and support workers to join our team. Our focus is on providing the highest quality service at all times. We provide 24 hour supported living which includes, days, nights, waking nights and sleep-ins.

About you
As a carer under the guidance of a project manager, you will be taking responsibility for the physical and emotional well-being, and social needs of our service users. Assisting service users with personal care, planning everyday activities, assisting with personal hygiene, assisting with meals, medication and integrating service users into in the community.
Being a culturally sensitive service we need staff who can cook any of the following cultural meals, speak the following languages, and have an understanding of cultural events:
Meals:
Traditional English foods Inc. A full English breakfast, Toad in the hole, Sunday roast dinner, Stew, hotpot, casserole
Caribbean and African foodsInc. plantain, jerk chicken, salt fish, curry goat, jallof rice, Garri.
Asian foods Inc.curries, and chapattis
Languages:
Fluent English
Caribbean and African languages
All Asian languages
Cultural events:
British Inc. – Christmas, Easter, Halloween, St Paddys day
Caribbean and African Inc. Black history month, Carnivals, music festivals
Asian Inc. Diwali, Eid, Lohri, Ramadan
Delivering a level of care that truly comes from the heart. It is about making sure our service users never lose their dignity or sense of individuality, whether you are helping someone with limited mobility to learn to use an aid, offering emotional support to a confused or distressed service user or delivering care to someone who lacks complete capacity you will always have their well-being in mind above anything else.
