We are recruiting on behalf of Ealing Council, they are looking for Civil Enforcement Officer’s.

Civil Enforcement Officers ensure that all drivers follow parking policies on public streets and in car parks. This position is Temp to Perm for the right candidate.

Main areas of responsibility:

  • To ensure the efficient and effective enforcement of waiting restrictions, loading bays, footway parking, pay and display parking, contract/resident parking schemes within the designated permitted parking area/controlled parking zone in accordance with the Road Traffic Act 1991/Traffic Management Act 2004.
  • To carry out mobile patrols throughout the day at various locations in accordance with policies and procedures and to issue relevant penalty Charge Notices to vehicles parked/moving in contravention of Traffic Regulation Orders.
  • To authorise in accordance with policies and procedures the immobilisation or removal of vehicles parked in contravention of Traffic Regulation Orders.
  • To record and report in accordance with policies and procedures defects in signs, lines, other parking equipment, general repair and maintenance matters, defects in street furniture, standards of cleanliness and other problems detrimental to the parking area and public safety.
  • To attend hearings in accordance with policies and procedures of The National Parking Adjudicator, other Courts, Tribunals, and present evidence in relation to the issuing of a Penalty Charge Notice other enforcement documentation.
  • To assist with the temporary suspension/closure of parking areas/car parks.
  • To provide general advice and guidance to members of the public.
  • To utilise and be responsible and accountable for the radio and hand held computer terminals or other equipment as supplied to you.

Essential:

  • Experience working as a CEO in other companies (Proven)
  • Knowledge and understanding of Equal Opportunities issues.
  • Knowledge of Health and Safety requirements relative to this post
  • Able to assist the public with any parking related enquires to provide a high level of customer service
