An opportunity has arisen to join the AGS team, based at Holton. We are looking for an experienced Welder Fabricator to join our Mobile Seed Plant Operators team on a permanent full-time basis.
The successful candidate will support the workshop fabrication team with the in-house manufacture of our bespoke mobile seed processors. Alongside this, you will have the opportunity to drive to farms and process farm saved seed, checking quality of the seed, taking samples and maintaining mobile machinery, always ensuring the site/machinery is clean and tidy and health and safety processes are always adhered to.
Ideal candidate
- Welding and fabrication/engineering or coachbuilding experience.
- Agricultural, engineering or grain handling experience would be an advantage, but full training will be provided for the right candidate including, PA1 & PA11.
The role Key responsibilities
- To establish a framework of working practices that will enable the machine operator to produce the very best quality seed.
- To establish good and safe working practices.
- To assist in meeting the demand of the production of mobile seed plants.
