Full-time (37 hours), Temporary (until the end of January 2025)
The Role:
We are recruiting for a Finance Assistant to join a support organisation based in Oldham. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a keen eye for detail and an understanding of basic financial tasks. You will provide essential support, assisting with tasks such as processing invoices, managing accounts receivable and payable, and maintaining accurate financial records.
Duties:
Assist with processing financial tasks, including invoicing, processing expenses, and managing accounts receivable and payable.
Maintain financial systems to ensure records are accurate and up to date.
Apply relevant policies consistently, including safeguarding, health and safety, and equality and diversity.
Undertake any other duties as required to meet service and organisational objectives, in consultation with your manager.
Required Skills:
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Demonstrable experience planning, monitoring, and evaluating your own work.
An understanding of basic accounting and bookkeeping procedures.
Proficiency in Sage 50, Microsoft Office, and Excel.
Excellent attention to detail with the ability to spot numerical errors.
Basic literacy and numeracy skills.
Ability to prioritise tasks and work independently with resilience.
A commitment to the organisation’s vision and values.
Flexibility and willingness to work as needed to meet organisational requirements.
Due to the nature of this organisation, you will need to undertake a basic DBS check if successful in this role.
