An exciting opportunity is available for you to join our client as a Junior Technical Support. You will become part of an innovative IT company renowned for delivering robust messaging, collaboration, and cloud technology solutions. This Junior Support position is perfect for customer-focused individuals with experience in first-line support, helpdesk, or service desk roles. We are looking for someone with a knack for problem-solving and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

The role mainly focuses on providing support for Microsoft products. Over the first six to twelve months, you will receive comprehensive training to help you address complex technical challenges. This initial training will cover the core Microsoft products supported by our client, allowing you to build a strong foundation in the associated systems and processes.

Location: Portishead
Work Arrangement: Hybrid – Three days in the office and two days working from home (initially more office-based for six months).

Junior Technical Support Key Skills:

We are excited to connect with candidates in related fields, including front-line support, help desk support, service desk, product support, software support, and application support.

Ideal candidates will bring the following experience:

Up to two years in a customer-centric IT support role.
Experience handling first-line support, service desk tasks, and troubleshooting IT issues.
Demonstrated ability to log and prioritise incoming support calls.
Windows support experience.
Proficiency in Office 365.
Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to tackling technical challenges.
Have excellent English communication skills (written and verbal).

About the Junior Technical Support Position:

Early on, most of your responsibilities will focus on essential tasks, such as logging calls and becoming familiar with the client’s ticketing system and workflow.

As you gain confidence and expertise with the core products, you’ll gradually take on more complex aspects of the role, tackling in-depth support issues and engaging in higher-level troubleshooting. Our client understands that developing this level of proficiency takes time and is fully committed to supporting your growth at every stage. This approach ensures you’ll be well-prepared to easily handle the most challenging technical issues as your experience grows.

As part of the Technical Support Department, the Junior Technical Support will be crucial in managing our client’s customer support infrastructure. This role involves:

Logging incoming support calls.
Ensuring support calls are taken promptly.
Managing support calls and ensuring timely response and resolution
Liaising with customers to progress open calls for other support department members.
Day-to-day maintenance of internal systems for end users.
Setting up and supporting internal laptops and servers.
Performing adhoc support as and when necessary.
Salary: £24-28,000
Location: Portishead
