About the role:

This is an opportunity to become a cornerstone of support for our pupils in Key Stage 1 and 2, particularly those who face behavioural challenges. As an SEN TA, you will work hand-in-hand with our teaching staff, SENCOs, and pastoral team to create bespoke learning experiences. By implementing strategies that address individual needs, you’ll help foster a positive and encouraging learning environment where every child can thrive. In this role, you won’t just be helping children academically—you’ll be a key figure in nurturing their social skills, emotional resilience, and confidence. If you are patient, resourceful, and driven by the belief that every child deserves a chance to succeed, this role is for you.

Application Requirements:

• Experienced in supporting children with challenging behaviours and SEN.
• Patient, resilient, and empathetic with strong communication skills.
• Skilled in de-escalation techniques and behaviour management strategies.
• Adaptable and able to work collaboratively within a team.
• Committed to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supporting pupils with challenging behaviours on a 1:1 and group basis.
• Assisting the class teacher in delivering engaging and effective lessons.
• Implementing individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour plans.
• Encouraging positive social interactions and emotional resilience.
• Monitoring and reporting on pupil progress to teachers and SENCOs.
