Qualifications and Skills

· 1+ years of Nursery Room Leader experience (Preferred)

· 2+ years of Nursery experience (Preferred)

· Level 3 Early Years/Childcare Diploma (full and relevant)

· Knowledge of OFSTED standards

· Excellent knowledge of the EYFS

· Good time management skills

· Excellent communication skills

· Strong people management skills

· Knowledge and understanding of equal opportunities / SENCO etc.

Key Responsibilities

· Act as a key person

· Carry out observations, assessments and planning for key children and support the staff team with their key children

· Promote a high standard of quality within the nursery, including practice, environment and resources to meet the requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage

· Support the transition of children into the nursery and then onto the next room

· Build positive relationships with children, their families and colleagues

· Support the staff working in the room with their own personal development

· Develop and maintain professional working relationships with relevant external agencies where appropriate

· Ensure that all children are kept safe, and that staff are confident to follow safeguarding procedures

· Adhere to all company policies and procedures and ensure they are also adhered to by all staff

· In conjunction with the management team identify, address and support in individual training needs and self-development such as supervisions and appraisals

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £27,000.00-£28,000.00 per year
