EYFS Teaching Assistant
START ASAP – 5 days a week South Leicestershire
Working hours 8:30- 3:30 Monday to Friday

Suporting SEND pupils in Primary School
I am recruiting for a Learning Support Assistant to work 1 to 1 with a child with special educational needs in Foundation stage in a welcoming Leicestershire school.
This role is varied, and the school is looking for an adaptable, flexible and resourceful individual, able to cope in a high-pressure environment and deal with constantly changing priorities.
You will be working to support a SEND pupil under the supervision of the teacher/SENCO. The school is looking for a flexible yet resilient person with a caring nature who enjoys working with children. Experience with Autism and early years would be an advantage.
The successful candidate will :
be resilient and adaptable
have excellent communication skills,
be self-motivated but also works effectively within the support staff team and with teachers and parents.
enjoy working with children, helping them develop skills and learn effectively.Are you experienced in :
Working with a wide range of class teachers to deliver excellent teaching and learning.
Coaching children on a 1:1 or group basis.
Accompanying groups on trips.
Supporting assessment and evidencing learning
Working with the teacher to create stimulating classroom displays and learning resources
Maintaining a safe and positive environment for all learners
Creating opportunities for all learners to reach their potential, irrespective of ability In return the school can offer:

You will need:
Competency in English and Maths
Hold an NVQ Level 2 qualified or above and have experience of working in an early years setting.
Previous childcare experience.
a proven ability to work on their own initiative.
a high level of communication skills and the ability to relate positively to children and adults.
the ability to use relevant technology/equipment.
a can-do attitude and ability to work well in a team
